During and following college Darren gained employment in a number of London and Soho based Production and Post Production companies as Production and Online Edit Assistant but he soon realised his heart lie in Film Directing and wanting to make his own films.

After a few years, Darren took an unplanned career move to work in education providing technical support and teaching Media/Video production.

Part of Darren’s priority working in education has always been to try and provide and gain opportunities for young aspiring creative talent, to gain real life work experience that enables young people to have hands on practice. He Co-Founded Evo Arts in 2008 with close friend and fellow film maker Damion Brooks-Lloyd, an independent unfunded organisation that supports emerging artists from all backgrounds. Lock’n’Load Films and EVO Arts have collaborated and completed two short films. These films have had a crew that combined students from college and university working along side industry professionals. The students still continue to collaborate with Lock’n’Load Films and many have also gone on to gain full time industry employment at companies such as Channel 5 and the AMC Network or have become successful professional freelancers.

Darren has been interested in the paranormal since a very young age; perhaps it started with the days of watching Doctor Who and late night horror double bills with his mother as a child. From the age of 11 he was visiting libraries researching the subject and his research has continued ever since. Over many years Darren has visited and recorded at a number of apparently haunted sites as well as encountering many of his own personal experiences, he is now eager apply his experience and findings to this exciting new concept.
